First Time Managers

Introduction:

People are being promoted to management roles as they are doing well at their existing positions and such role transition could be distressing because of the requirement of different set of skills. Due to this reason first time managers need help in the form of new knowledge, insight, tools, tips and in particular performance management training.

Our training program for first time managers helps you to learn what all is expected by a manger and how to meet those expectations. It introduces you to training techniques required to develop as a successful manager.

After undertaking this training program participants will be able to:
(a) Move swiftly from the earlier post to that of a manger.
(b) Understand the value of collaboration to make the team successful.
(c) Know the importance of motivating the team as a manger.
(d) Develop management skills.
(e) Become familiar with the responsibilities and duties of a manager.
(f) Apply the learnt skills in practical situations.

The training modules are designed to make the first time managers learn the skills of management and be aware about the roles of a manager so that when they get in the real life situation they are able to succeed as a manager. The participants will learn these skills through interactive workshops, interviews and group discussions. In pursuit of this aim, the main content of the training text and material has been divided in to five distinct modules.
Module 1: Introduction to the role of a manger.
Module 2: Learning about the management skills.
Module 3: How to facilitate meetings, communicate successfully and develop leadership skills.
Module 4: How to execute plans as a manager.
Module 5: Learning about delegation.
All modules will be run as interactive workshops with a high degree of participation and group exercises.

The time duration for this module can be customized according to the training need analysis and requirement of clients.
